About Palo Seco Beach

Playa Palo Seco is an incredible virgin beach hidden in the natural wonders of Parrita, whose sand is slightly dark in the

sides and a bit clearer in the center, and which is surrounded by abundant tropical vegetation . Besides, the majestic mountains

around Parrita city offer a myriad of activities, as canopy, rafting, excursions to the forest, o thermal waters or to cascades.

The mouth of the Parrita river can be found in the west sector of this beach, and the Palo Seco estuary in its northern shore, an

area through which you can travel to the mangroves and observe its wildlife . There, it is common to find species such as the

sea bass, red porgy and grouper fishing; here it was given the world record for sea bass fishing. In addition, Palo Seco has a

local school whose aim is to protect sea turtles by incubating, protecting and releasing baby sea turtles whose mothers come
